The food is awesome, the environment is cozy place and warm
I have been to this restaurant three times when I came to Tokyo. The food is good and the atmosphere is warm. However, there is a limited choice for vegetarian who doesn’t take Garic and onion. Most of their vegan food contains garlic and this can’t be removed. Especially, the curry rice is never the choice for vegetarian. If they can have a bit more choice and more flexible. That will be wonderful
Walked into this charming little place with great expectations. Didn't disappoint one bit! Hot alcohol cocktail was the highlight of my visit. Food was delicious too!
Love this place! The atmosphere is cosy and a little rustic. The food has amazing flavours and is prepared with love. If you're one of those people who thinks Japanese portions are small, come here and have the karaage as a starter, you'll be full in no time. I had that plus the green curry which is delicious. They also do some desserts including snacks in little packages you can take away.
Top notch vegan food, pricey but worth a splash out.
After having been to Ripple, this felt like a rip-off. 2000Â¥ for a few mushrooms in tomato soup and rice is taking advantage of the vegan label - the karaage that came with it was nice, but again, not worth the price. Great service as always in Japan and very friendly staff, but the prices need to be cut down A LOT for that food.
Amazing vegan cafe in Shinjuku area! Loved it! We got the mushroom curry, tomato soup, hot chocolate and latte, matcha tiramisu and heavenly pancakes for dessert. Yes, the pancakes were heavenly delicious! All dishes were very tasty. Overall, the place is pricy, but worth it! Good friendly atmosphere)))
An absolutely adorable venue, had the green curry which was AMAZING. Such a wide array of vegan food - thank you so much!
Only 1 gluten free option which is the pasta but overall great, cute restaurant and friendly atmosphere
We don't like that kind of pancake, actually It doesn't like the normal ones in Japan. its hard texture feels like muffin mixed with pancake. not good at all
Excellent vegan food! Very flavorful and healthy. I had lunch, but I'd love to go back and try more from their expansive dinner menu!
Great vegan restaurant with several gluten-free options. The staff was friendly and fluent in English. I had the cheesecake for dessert....couldn't believe it was gluten free and vegan!
Had the best dinner in a looong time here! Everything was delicious! Especially the pre course platter with many different tiny dishes! Also the creme brulee was amazing!!!
Delicious green curry and drinks. Great atmosphere
Amazing vegan Japanese style pudding! Lovely staff, great food and a really cute little space.
Great food and fantastic option for vegans/vegetarians trying to navigate the Tokyo food scene! Highly recommend ðŸ‘ðŸ¼
Food is pretty overpriced for the quantity you get in my opinion but nonetheless it tasted good. Also they're drinks option were so pathetically small it actually made me a bit angry
A cute little vegan restaurant hidden away down a narrow set of stairs. There is one 6-person table and a couple smaller tables available. All of the menu is vegan and they also offer a wide variety of gluten-free dishes. While I was not a fan of the kara-age, everything else was delicious. The service, however, is painfully slow and when we dined as a group of five, two people were able to slowly finish their meal before the other three people's food ever arrived.
The location is right in front of the exit which makes this very convenient! A cute Ain Soph which serves the basic food and has a nice, café vibe. If you’re going with a large group remember to book in advance and you can get a nice big table on the ground floor.
Great place to eat vegan food in Tokyo
Terrific. Completely nails all of their dishes, from savory to sweet. The pancakes are to die for — with actual weight to them instead of the airy, suffle junk that seems to be the trend these days in Tokyo. Tiramisu also fantastic. Possibly my favorite restaurant in Tokyo right now.
Vegan restaurant with delicious food, good wine and beer and lovely atmosphere. Very friendly staff. Best meal I’ve had in Tokyo. 100% will be back here next time I’m in Tokyo. Highly recommend for tasty food and good menu to choose from. Ah. Maze. ING!
The place is a bit difficult to find due to the obscure boards. But I would say that just figure out the exit C5 of Shinjuku Sanchome Station on the subway line and you'll find yourself at the footsteps of this restaurant. For Vegetarians in Japan, you will definitely find good appetising options. Not too costly, we spent about 4800 Yen on an average for a while meal for 3 adults. Good service and ambience not too bad.
Second time I've been to this location. Every new item I try continues to astound me! Just went you think you had the best thing on the menu you try something new that makes you question your previous assessment. In the end, it's too hard to choose which is best, as that are all incredible. The place can get very busy around dinner time. Came at 7:30pm and was lucky to get a table! They also have delicious take aways next to the cashier.I will make sure to return during all future trips to Tokyo
I am not a vegan eater, but after eating here, I would reconsider my lifestyle. Really great food, the “Karaage†was delicious. The staff was friendly and the place had a good vibe to it. I have definitely recommend it to other people and would go back myself.
This is where you are going to forget the price and just bask in the glory of incredibly wonderful vegan food, right here in the middle of Tokyo. Just the dessert menu alone is worth coming here. Very friendly staff.
Good customer service, even my friends that can’t speak a lick of Japanese could communicate with the staff.Vegetarian and vegan options are quite scarce In Tokyo so I was very happy to find a place that could accommodate the dietary restrictions of my friends.I’m not a vegan but fully enjoyed my meal. The price is probably a little expensive if compared to restaurants of the same level but perhaps the costs to prepare vegan food are higher than meat based dishes?
This is my favorite place we've eaten in Tokyo. The atmosphere is fun and cozy and the food has always been beyond amazing. It's not cheap, but then nothing really good is. This place is special, try it! Their vegan pancakes are the best ever.
Yummy food, friendly service. Some of the staff do understand and speak English, but their menu has photos so ordering is not a hassle. Great option for vegans when travelling to Tokyo, they have many locations. Definitely worth a visit!
Our party literally stumbled on this place. The food was delicious, especially the desserts. Staff were very helpful as well, and happy to accommodate dietary requirements. The best part - the Creme Brûlée! It is one of the greatest I’ve ever had, and would never have picked it as vegan.
The taco salad was exactly what i needed after roaming around shinjuku and only finding ramen and gyoza - none of which had vegan options!! Would highly recommend stopping by here and so close to the metro!
Excellent food. Lovely atmosphere. Often busy so make a reservation! You can easily do it online via their website
Not Japanese food but it was a relief to find filling vegan food options and such lovely service too.
Excellent vegan food. Probably the best pancakes I’ve ever had. Lovely setting and friendly staff
Been there with my sister, two americans were denied entry, but when the waiters saw that we were 4 (non-japanese) she decided to let us in (she could not afford to lose four customers...)we were in the basement, not pleasant place, and the food is cute but not that great...
We all know that japanese people are racist (I mean, not all Japanese people but u know what I'm talking about). My sister and I went there, and just before us, there was an american couple asking for a table. The waitress told them that there were no table available, wich was a lie because, when she saw us, she went talking to her boss to ask him if she could open the basement for us. She couldn't let 4 costumers go away so...Of course, we were the only foreigners at the basement, alone. It wasn't pleasant at all, it was pretty oppressive I would say, and the bathroom were quite dirty...The food was not that great, I expected more from this place...
Great vegan food 😋 a little bit expensive
Really nice spot for vegan food in Tokyo. Portion sizes are a little small though so ensure you order and entree and dessert. Creme brûlée was excellent
Delicious and great flavour. A little bit on the pricey side, but well worth it. Recommended!
Enjoyed a massive vegan gourmet dinner course here at Ain Soph. It’s a strange name but awesome food & service & overall positive one. Who says Japanese don’t enjoy vegan / plant-based dining? This place is buzzing with excited chatter about the delicious food & catching up with good friends. Of course, I couldn’t resist the full 3800 set, but so happy as it was well worth it. Will try the pancakes next time. Usually can’t eat such amazing #plantbased foods in other parts of Japan. Had delicious house wine as well. Will definitely return! #vegan #shinjuku #tokyo #japan
Loved this place. Pancakes were amazing and the tomato vegetable soup was so good. Staff were ultra friendly, place was very clean, and all round a great meal!
The food was very good, especially when we know that it's very rare to find open vegan restaurant in Tokyo. Everything was fresh and tasty, pancakes are excellent ! 🙂
Great food, friendly staff, and nice dining atmosphere. Pancakes were great and so was the vegetable paella. Great far a small group of no more than 4 people. Quite English friendly. The portions were surprisingly pretty big for Japan and well worth the money
My friend is coeliac and she found some delicious meals she enjoyed here and we all raved about the food. The staff are so lovely and accommodating. We recommend this restaurant highly.
I had their pancakes today, the flavours were nice, I really liked the creamsheese. The ice-cream was also nice. However, my pancakes were slightly undercooked, it was most mostly cooked but some of it was doughy, so the pancakes weren't fluffy. I think it may have been rushed because it was close to the time for their last orders and for the kitchen to close.Overall, it was an okay experience. I'm just super happy that it was vegan! I absolutely love their pudding, so I would recommend their pudding instead.
Lovely ambience as we got to sit via a window ! Cosy little restaurant- easy to miss out as you are passing by - it’s exactly outside C5 exit of Shinjuku Sanchome station ! Food is super delicious - varied varieties- probably cheaper if you are in a group otherwise maybe pricey - if you are single on the go ! Yes important point - please make a prior reservation - else the wait can be longer for almost an hour
Absolutely lovely place! Friendly staff, and delicious foods 💛I wholeheartedly recommend this place 💕
The vegan food in this place is really good! Is hard to find a good vegan restaurant in Tokyo. The blueberry cheesecake is soooo delicious!! The service is great and the place is cozy.
Great place with excellent food but the staff seemed overworked.
A vegan restaurant in front of the exit C5 of Shinjuku 3 chome station.
